Christopher Messer is a loud hard driving power drummer with his roots ranging from the old school progressive rock to the essential hard rock heavies. Chris started his drumming playing gospel in church where he grew up evolving his own style to the present. One could talk about drum sound intricacies with him till the wee hours of dawn and I'm lucky to play classic prog songs with him to the note whenever we have the chance to remember and laugh, songs we learned by ourselves before we met. Playing with Chris live is like going forward with a huge battletank behind you that goes "Whomp!". The ground is shaking big chief.
Chris likes to fly, namely big jets. He was a pilot and a flight engineer before we met and we share some interest in airplanes and new technology. Prog Rock covers a wid erange of musical styles and genres and to be on it requires a lot of self-study, knowhow, and experience. Christopher Messer's ample musically appreciative conceptions inspired me to do the THWIP album and the Two Chilekings thing.
