Dondi Ledesma and Christopher Messer were both members of the Wally Gonzalez Band, a blues/classic rock band based out of Manila, Philippines. Wally Gonzalez is the lead guitarist and founder of the icon filipino rock band, Juan Dela Cruz Band. The rhythmic connection between Christopher and Dondi was extremely solid and unique. Christopher one day finally said to Dondi, "Man, we should record together sometime. Just for fun. It would be cool!". Time passed and they both finally made it happen!

In March of 2007, they both showed up at a studio in Makati City. Neither one of them had any idea of what they were gonna do. All they had planned that evening was to record drum and bass tracks live. The engineer asked them, "What type of music are you gonna do? How many songs are you gonna record?". The two looked at each other and both answered, "I don't know.". After setting up their equipments, Dondi and Christopher just counted off and started playing. Each track was done in one take. There were no repeats. All 11 tracks were done live like this for the bass and drum tracks.

Dondi owns his own studio at home called "s'cuse me while i kiss the sky". Dondi took the bass and drum tracks at his studio and overdubbed keyboard, lead piccolo bass, and fretless bass tracks. Vocals on one track was performed by Dondi. One track that containes narration was performed by Christopher. All eleven of these tracks came together to become the first Two Chilekings album named "THWIP". This album is the beginning of a progressive rock legacy. Soon more will come.
